The Bank of Finland hosted the 1st Payment Habits 2010+ seminar on 30 August 2007 and 11 October 2007 at Bank of Finland, Helsinki. The seminar focused on the development of retail payment instruments and the changing payment habits of customers in the timeframe 2010-2020. This year, the seminar was based on the findings of Bank of Finland project of the same name. The feedback on the seminar was very positive. Several requests for making it a yearly event were received. The Bank of Finland has therefore decided to plan a similar seminar back to back with the yearly simulator seminar for central bank experts interested in retail payment issues. The call for papers will probably be in January 2008, for the next seminar in August 2008.
The programme and seminar material for the first Payment Habits 2010+ seminar is given below.
